I’ve done it!  My first level 20 character.  Isn’t she adorable?  No, those are NOT horns coming out of her head.  Those are the tubes for her helicopter.  And no, I don’t know why her mouth is hanging open like that.  Maybe all the fat is pressing on her lungs.

We’ve been on a losing streak in EVE lately.  I guess getting used to all the new people we’ve been running around with has been throwing off our groove.  Or maybe we’re just awful.  Who knows.  I’m feeling terribly lazy so I won’t tell an amusing story about any of it or link to our losses or kills.  If you are interested, you can check our killboards or you can take my word for it and avoid the pity that would surely well up in your heart.

In other news, I am totally determined to win the -10 race.  I’m at -9.31 and James is at -9.5; we are the farthest along.  I must beat him and, in the true pirate spirit, am totally not above cheating.  Bring out your implantless alts and lemme pod ‘em!  I’ll even pay for your new clone.  *grin*

Warhammer’s big patch is out so I’m checking that out.  It’s actually been a lot of fun after the move from Wolfenburg to Dark Crag.  Looks like I’ll be keeping that subscription after all.

So I’m back playing games again. This horrific cough is going away and I don’t feel faint every time I sit up. Good news!

I spent some time in the EVE Voice channel of EVE-Bloggers. I just LOVE Black Claw. He’s hilarious and fun and shows me YouTube videos that make me laugh. We discussed the huge number of blogs in that OPML thinger that the Wandering Druid kindly provides. I can’t help but read them all, though it takes me the better part of my morning (okay, 4 pm, but I’d just gotten up so it IS my morning). I feel like a huge asshole if I don’t read them all and many have awesome information! HOWEVER. Some people have not learnt the difference between it’s and its. Please let me refer you to this video and this site (please listen to each song CLOSELY). It will help. We also talked about my love for the Brits and Aussies and their adorable accents and verbiage. Things like “bum” and “whinge” and “mardy.” Why don’t I have words like that (and don’t point out that I say piddlepants and dickface; they don’t count)? Black Claw made me feel a little better by saying they think our American accents are cute, too. See why I heart him? Also, I must mention this Roc guy Mynxee‘s been writing about. His stories are kick ass and terribly well-written and his Minmatar guy on the blog is a SEXY BEAST. And one more thing, Mynxee always writes the nicest comments to me. Thank you. *hugs*

Moving on! Everyone’s been discussing the Station Ambulation stuff so I guess I can throw in my two pennies: ABOUT TIME. I like to see my people and walk around with them and hell, /dance if I want. If I feel like playing dress-up in my cabin or whatever the shit you call the living quarters of a spaceship pilot, I WILL. The same goes for random dance moves. YOU don’t know why I felt like doing the chicken dance while I was waiting in line for chow. Just because you don’t think spaceship pilots are above things like that doesn’t mean we are. I think it all sounds like a good idea. Except for the guy who suggested we fight in there. I don’t want to have to worry that while I’m admiring my toon’s duct tape breast augmentation someone who’s declared war on us is going to shoot me in the head.

On the WAR front, I’ve been having fun with the Witching Night event. I’ve nearly got all the influence for the elite reward and I even managed to get two of the masks floating around. I’m losing steam playing by myself there, though. Ken says tomorrow will be a WAR night but I don’t like to make him play when I know he loves EVE so much better.

I guess I should go to bed so I can get everything ready for the craziness that is Halloween at the Anderson house.

I’ve been sick for the past couple days (Ken brought home the death from work and somehow only I caught it) and haven’t been EVEing the way I should, or WARing for that matter. We have, however, recruited an EVE pal to WAR with us! *thumbsup* Ken’s been trying out his Megathron and attempting to pull our killboards out of the pitiful slump that’s mostly my fault.

I also read Black Claw‘s post on subscribing to the EVE Blogroll using your Google Reader AND being able to comment from there. It’s awesome and I recommend trying it out. Do be aware that all these posts will take up craploads of your time and you won’t get anything done ’til you’ve read the day’s worth. It’s also sort of brought me down from my blog-related high. I don’t feel quite as special any more seeing those gobs of blogs, many of which are better written and legitimate. And I’m starting to feel the yuck toward the word blog again. Isn’t there a better word for it? One that sounds less like what I do after a hard night of free drinks at the bar?

The EVE blogging community has been moving forward: along with the in-game channel (EVE-Bloggers), a Ventrilo server has been provided (v24.darkstarllc.com:9934) and a new forums site is springing up. It’s all very exciting and I can’t wait to get more involved!

I’m off to read PsycheDiver‘s fanfiction. I’ve been saving it for when I felt like sitting up again. Yay!

I had forgotten to mention a couple things from our last EVE outing.

We saw a big ol’ fleet besieging a POS. It was pretty sweet. Of course, Ken couldn’t help taking a potshot at a passing Crow.

We also ran into a less-douchebaggy member of Pandemic Legion‘s SwiggWaffe. S/he was pretty friendly and joked with us in local.

I’ve also been playing a lot of WAR. I got my Rune Priest to 14 and leveled my witch hunter’s Cultivating/Apothecary. I am so addicted to this game and keep rolling alt after alt. The RvR is so engaging and I really love the “PvE Lite” they offer. Too bad I don’t know anyone on this server. It’s kinda lonely now that Matt and Chris quit and Travis is busy. *sadface*

I’ve dragged more people into my WAR obsession. My pals, Matt and Travis, have both bought the game and are playing with me now since Chris quit, returning to that filthy harlot, WotLK. And it’s a good thing ’cause Ken’s at work all the damn time now. It’s 3:15 am and he’s still working on something there. I’m sure everyone there thinks he just despises his family like that guy back at TheBay. I made a joke about it on Vent with some of his co-workers who play EVE with us and everything got all crickets. *sigh* I guess I should start worrying when he stops hounding me for the lovin’, right?

In other news, I finally found something that’s getting rid of the nasty pee smell in our Litter Box Couch. Thank god. I was so tired of watching porn from the living room floor.
